Our blog is filled with helpful tips and tricks to get your little one sleeping!

With a background in childhood education and my extensive training in pediatric sleep consulting in Arlington VA and around the United States, I am equipped with the education, training, and skills to help your baby meet his or her sleep goals. First, as a former educator, I have worked with numerous parents over the years to help each of their children reach their full potential. Second, as a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, I have continued this trend of collaboration to ensure children are getting optimal sleep to benefit their overall health and well-being.

Where I excel the most with families is in my follow-up support. I will work with you every step of the way so that you are not alone in the process. I will partner with you through the implementation of a collaborative sleep plan – through any successes and setbacks we encounter – answering any questions or concerns you have, and being there to support and guide you.
If you have a baby or child who is experiencing sleep issues, I would be happy to investigate further and get to the heart of the issue. Sleep is a biological necessity, not a luxury. It is an important component to a healthy lifestyle.

I have been personally selected, trained, and mentored by Dana Obleman, the renowned pediatric sleep expert and founder of the Sleep Sense Program. The Sleep Sense methods have been used by over 100,000 families (and counting) to solve their children’s sleep issues. I am one of the less than 200 Sleep Sense consultants in the world.

Healthy Sleep for Everyone

You might be remembering a time when you could sleep in, go to bed late and wake up feeling rested and energized. A newborn changes all of that, for sure. Unfortunately, most of us aren’t prepared for the days, weeks, months, and years of helping a baby develop good sleeping habits, all while being sleep deprived ourselves.

Most parents turn to their own parents, well-meaning friends, and even Google to help them find answers. Have you noticed that everyone has an opinion about how to help babies sleep? It can get really confusing, and the frustration only creates more tension in a home filled with tired, worn-out family members. There are so many possible answers and variables that play into why your baby is not sleeping well. I will get to the heart of your baby’s sleep issues. By the end of our time together, you will feel comfortable, confident, and supported.

Your newborn, your baby, your toddler, your child – he or she is different from others and has his or her own set of needs. When I work with you, I’ll make sure the advice I provide is age-appropriate and is defined specifically for your family and lifestyle. I factor in your baby or child’s personality, feeding habits, developmentally appropriate wake windows, family dynamics, developmental stage, bedroom set up, sleep goals, and the list goes on.

If you’re reading this and finding yourself relating, please reach out to me today. We can have a free evaluation call to discuss what’s going on right now with your baby’s sleep. Once we’ve spoken and I understand your situation, I will offer ways to help you. Healthy sleep habits are right around the corner!

Babies grow so quickly, and just when you have one thing figured out, there’s a new challenge! Sleep is likely one area where you’ll need some extra support. Your baby is still figuring things out, and together, we will explore the reason for the current sleep issue and then come up with a plan just for you and your baby.

Toddlers + Big Kids

24 months+

As babies grow, they soon become toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids. Continuing to get enough sleep just isn’t an option as their bodies and brains continue to develop. I’m here to help you learn the skills to get your older babies to sleep and stay sleeping throughout the night.

Why Work With Kendra?

I provide a balance between knowledge and empathy which helps families I work with thrive and feel supported while they teach their baby or child one of the most important, independent healthy life skills: sleep! Let me be your first sign of relief. Together we can get you closer to that reality!

There are many possible reasons for and variables related to your child not sleeping well. I work with parents to teach their children independent sleep skills, to fall and stay asleep at night, and to take restorative naps during the day. I love what I do – helping families get their sleep back, teaching new routines, and standing with tired moms, dads, babies and children as they learn new skills.
